US fest to screen 'Nobody'

Iranian animation 'Nobody' has been set to go on silver screen at the 51st edition of the Humboldt International Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Elham Toroqi, the 9-minute animation is to participate at the competition section of the US film event.

‘Nobody’ tells the story of a white cat living in city of black residents. The cat tries hard to get food but no one seems bothered to give any.

The animation has so far succeeded to win Special Jury Award at the 11th edition of the ANIMANIMA International Animation Festival in Serbia in 2017.

Since its establishment in 1967, the Humboldt International Film Festival has earned a reputation for supporting and celebrating student and independent filmmakers working in experimental and non-traditional ways.

The Humboldt International Film Fest has the proud distinction of being the oldest student-run film festival in the world. The festival is organized by students from a wide range of academic interests, who share a genuine respect for the art of film.

The 2018 edition of the Humboldt event is slated for April 18-21, 2018, in California, the US. The festival is currently underway.
